Enemy of JOY

Regret of the past is a primary thief of joy and peace. Many people stay trapped in the past. Whether a mistake was made 10 years ago or 10 minutes ago, there is nothing you can do about it except ask God’s forgiveness, receive it, forget about it and go on. There may be some restitution you can make and, of course, do that. But the bottom line is that you MUST let go of the past in order to grasp the future. Paul was pressing toward the mark of perfection and that’s how he was able to enjoy his life and journey–because he refused to live in regret of the past. Just remember that regret steals NOW. God has called us to a faith walk IN THE NOW. When you cling to the past, you lay aside your faith then lose your peace and joy. Let this be a day of decision for you to no longer operate in the past. Become a NOW person–live in the present. God has a plan for you now. God Bless. “I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead.” Philippians 3:13
